Megan is a seasoned crisis communications leader, most recently serving as the US lead for crisis and issues at WE Communications. Megan brings deep expertise and experience in both crisis preparedness programs and live-issue response, including managing full-scale integrated communications response to product recalls, employee misconduct, catastrophic events, cybersecurity incidents and government investigations. Over the course of her career, Megan has developed comprehensive global crisis management programs for companies in the energy, education, technology, manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
Prior to joining WE, Megan spent more than eight years at Edelman Public Relations, serving as both a network lead for crisis work in the South as well as a leader in Edelman’s Data Security and Privacy specialty group. Throughout her career she has worked with clients to develop strategic and tactical crisis playbooks, with a focus on messaging development and approach. She has developed and facilitated crisis simulations and trainings for executive level stakeholders and worked with C-suite teams to establish crisis management processes and protocols.
